Tumbler is our take on the classic brown ale ā full of roasted malt flavor but delicate on the palate and perfect for crisp fall days. Layered with notes of chocolate and toasted bread and a hint of smoke, Tumbler is the ultimate autumn beer, so grab a seat and watch as the leaves come tumbling down.

Everything a great brown ale should be. Perfect for the fall drinking season. I would expect nothing less from Sierra Nevada.
I bought a 1/6 barrel of this and tossed in my kegerator. Poured into a pint glass, pushed with beer gas.
A: Beautiful dark copper/amber color. An aggressive keg pour lead to a perfect, rich creamy 2 finger head. Lacing was good, but faded quickly.
S: Nothing to over powering to me here. There is some sweetness on the nose, maybe chocolate? Some toasted malts in the background.
M: Well balanced mouth feel here. Medium bodied, getting heavier as the beer warms. Carbonation is perfect on the middle/back of the tongue. Warms you from the inside out as it goes down.
T: Roasty toasty malts. Bitter sweets chocolates that are balanced out by the background presents of Sierras ever present hops.
This keg won't last me long. :)

-clear, brown bottle pour with a thin foam cap that dissipates quickly and a sweet malt aroma.
The flavor is caramel forward with woody hop notes.
The finish is clean
This is a pleasing brew. I hope it is brewed seasonally again.

355 ml bottle, in Nevada City. Reddish brown colour, off-white head. Malty and nutty aroma and flavour, with notes of burnt caramel. Moderate hops in the finish. Iām sorry, but brown ales like this one rarely make me ecstatic. This one is no exception, even though it is made by the capable brewers of Sierra Nevada. Nothing wrong with it, just not my favourite style.

From old, undated notes. Had this on draft.
Nice head which quickly disspates.
Decent lacing.
Rich brown appearance, but see-through.
Maple syrup nose.
Coffee flavor, hop profile very present.
Perhaps a bit too carbonated, but a fine fall brown.

Decent brown ale. Slightly both bitter and sweet. Well rounded, snappy, somewhat spicy taste with a hint of coffee and chocolate. At only 5.5% ABV its a very good beer.

Impressive looking pour! Pours a very dark brown with some red hues, with a bold light brown sticky head that shows good retention and and superior side glass lace.
AROMA: Toasty bread malts, scents of burnt chocolate.
TASTE: Roasted malts, burnt chocolate, a touch of nuts, some sweetness up front. Dry at the finish.
