A - Brown pour with slight carbonation and patchy lacing. Bubbling foam retains fairly well.
S - Scents of caramel and dry roasted coffee. A dash of earthy spice is present as well. Very pleasant combination.
T - Has a robust taste that begins with an initial sweetness of sugary caramel candy. There is some dry malt present and some mild coffee notes. Finish is slightly bitter.
M - Easy drinking brown. Great pub beer to have a few with good conversation.
O - Just a solid american brown by SN. Not going to standout among the craft varieties of the style, but uts accessibility and quality make this a nice go-to beer in the fall.

Sampled tonight on 6/26/14. Found this bottle in the back of the cooler so it is a good year old I am guess BUT there isn't a expiration date anyone on the bottle and this brew is now RETIRED and no longer brewed. But opened it and it was fine. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a 14 ounce glass 'Texas style " boot.
Pours a clear dark brown in color with a good 3-finger off-white head! Good carbonation with some sediment left in the bottom of the bottle. The aroma is of roasted malts, hazel nut and brown sugar. Very nice! The taste is close to the aroma but not as strong BUT pretty good overall with all the flavors mentioned above coming through lots of the hazelnut 'nut' flavor in the mix. A slight dry smoke finish but still good.
