Notes & Commercial Description:

Tumbler is our take on the classic brown ale – full of roasted malt flavor but delicate on the palate and perfect for crisp fall days. Layered with notes of chocolate and toasted bread and a hint of smoke, Tumbler is the ultimate autumn beer, so grab a seat and watch as the leaves come tumbling down.

Appearance - Poured into a pint glass. Beautiful dark brown/cherry color. The deep red is really visible near the sides of the glass. Pours about 2 fingers of off white head

Smell - Almost no hop aroma, very mild smell of roasted malt, and maybe a little burnt caramel also. Really faint smell, you kind of have to search for it.

Taste - Malts dominate the taste of this beer, with a bit of a nutty slightly spicy finish. Not much of the hops are noticeable.

Mouthfeel - Nice carbonation and balanced body/thickness.

Overall - Decent beer, but nothing to really rave about in my opinion. Very drinkable, but also pretty mild flavors.

A: Dark amber brown. (Drank this right out of the bottle)

S: Roasted malts, and some toffee sweetness.

T: Smooth, very malty (almost coffee-like), with a slightly hoppy aftertaste.

M: Medium body with medium carbonation.

O: I like some of Sierra Nevada's other offerrings better, but this isn't bad by any means. It's a nice fall beer, and I will drink it again.

Tapped into a pint glass.

Appearance - Tight creamy white head. Good retention and extreme stick. Clear dark brown body. Blankets side of glass.

Smell - Musky. Nutty. Faint caramel.

Taste - Nutty brown body. Light hop. Moderate malt. Unchallenging.

Mouthfeel - Kinda water. Smooth. Mild astringency. Slight creaminess.

Overall Drinkability - Sessionable. Not much of a tasting beer. Near boring, but not quite.
