Notes/Commercial Description:
Tumbler is our take on the classic brown ale – full of roasted malt flavor but delicate on the palate and perfect for crisp fall days. Layered with notes of chocolate and toasted bread and a hint of smoke, Tumbler is the ultimate autumn beer, so grab a seat and watch as the leaves come tumbling down.

Tapped into a pint glass.

Appearance - Tight creamy white head. Good retention and extreme stick. Clear dark brown body. Blankets side of glass.

Smell - Musky. Nutty. Faint caramel.

Taste - Nutty brown body. Light hop. Moderate malt. Unchallenging.

Mouthfeel - Kinda water. Smooth. Mild astringency. Slight creaminess.

Overall Drinkability - Sessionable. Not much of a tasting beer. Near boring, but not quite.

A: Pours a dark red, almost brown. Finger-width head. There's a little bit of lacing left behind.

S: I can smell some brown sugar and nut, with alcohol lingering in the background.

T: Malt and nut are the name of the game. It's not quite a rich as I'd expected from the smell.

M: Medium-bodied, though a lot cleaner than I expected. Not bad at all.

D: A little blander than I had expected, especially after that first whiff, but a solid brown ale. The kinds of beer I look forward to when the leaves begin to fall.

12 oz bottle into pint glass

A - Deep clear copper with a half finger of tan head.

S - Cleanly nutty, with nice mild, light malts. A bit toasty with some sweet toffee.

T - Yum! Nutty and sweet toffee, with toasted malt and a nice crisp. Nice little bit of bitter hop that balances the beer.\

M - Medium body, slightly dry in the finish. The feel is just about perfect. Nice carbonation level.

O - Overall a favorite brown ale of mine. I'd buy it year round if offered, and I'll be sure to pick it up every autumn.
