A: A clear amber-orange pour. Huge ridiculously fluffy tan head. Fades very, very slowly. Thin spiderweb lacing left behind. Excellent head retention.
S: Not a huge hop bomb like I was expecting (not sure why I was even expecting that to be honest). Plenty of earthy, piney and resinous hops however. Some biscuity malt as well.
T: Hoppier than the aroma. Again, lots of earthy and resinous hops. Just a touch of pine in there. I get some grapefruit that I missed in the aroma as well. Has a sweet, dry biscuity type malt base backing it all up. Finish is drawn out, resinous and fairly bitter. Quite drying. It tastes almost salty along with the biscuity malt, like drinking liquid saltines.
M: Medium bodied but sort of astringent. Lots of mouth-coating hop oils to boot, kinda sticky and drying as a result. Excellent "full" mouthfeel.
O: Excellent fresh hop IPA for sure. I really enjoyed the mouthfeel. You can practically feel all the hops floating around. It's not overly hoppy or bitter, but they're just THERE. I think the lack of a really sweet caramel malt really accentuates the hoppiness without it being a hop bomb. Gives it a bit more drinkability as well.

Batch from 2011. Drank in 2011. Bomber poured into a 10 oz tasting glass.
L: dark amber with some sticky lacing, 1.5 inch creamy head.
S: resinous hops, grassy, yeasty cracker crust.
T: SN malt center and backbone, sweet and spicy hops, pine resin, light honey, black tea, quite bitter.
F: lightly crunchy, oily and dry in the finish.
O: A fantastic tasting American ale that is very bitter and hop forward. Excellent in it's style.

Was amber in color. Nice carbonation. Hops started out nice but finish was blah. I would not get this again.
