How can I resist buying this beer. Previous research on this beer a bit plus a moment of compulsive beer purchasing has led me to tonight's unveiling. Struggling with the thick wax has me thinking about how pissed I'll be if there isn't at least an A- inside.

Copper-reddish filtered with an initially thick head. Although the head disappeared, there was still nice lacing down the side of the glass. It looks like a rich beer and knowing the style I am looking forward to its bite.

Citrus and pine from the hops. This beer is much lighter and sweeter than most IPAs that I have come across. There is some faint ethanol that I can detect, but no single scent comes through too strongly/overwhelmingly. I expect a great beer to come.

Absolutely wonderful taste. For all of the IPAs I've had this is in the top 3, hands down. There is a very subtle hop infusion which leaves a mere trace of bitter aftertaste compared to most in its class. I get a juicy grapefruit burst, from the initial sweetness of the ale followed by a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Everything just comes together very effectively and even those who hate IPAs are starting to consider new possibilities.

Exceptional. I rarely give this rating out to a beer, but I must make an exception for this beer. I served it colder, but it easily could have been served warmer to cut down on the candy sweetness and bring forward the delightful estate grown hops. The beer is not lacking in carbonation which definitely helps give bigger gulps a rich creaminess. I almost did not make it past this stage to for the drinkability section, however, greed is what killed this cat after curiosity.

Tremendous flavor with subtle balance. I don't mean to sound generic in my response, but this beer exemplifies its class and transcends those before it. I would highly encourage this beer for anyone trying to convert non-IPA-believers and it may even re-make the beer list for this coming week!

1pt. 9.4 fl. oz's. bottle with green wax cover

Amber and gold color, bright and clear look. A massive, chunky mountain of sea-foam caps off the liquid in grand style. wicked sticky, clumpy lace sticks all around the glass.

Robust, complex hop aroma! Citrus tingle, earthiness, tangy, wild, fresh and exciting. Malty-sweet in the back ground.

Well, it's a wet-hop bomb! Fresh, complex hop flavor's, some of the very best i'e ever experienced. These guys are the masters of the cascade hop, and as usual the blend and balance of flavor's is a work of art. Organic barley, malt and hops, wet-hopped, ultra fresh in flavor. Sublime.

This beer really brings it in the hop department. A masterful work of one of the grandest, American styles, the IPA.

I absolutely love sierra Nevada and was excited about this being one of their special brews.

A: poured straight out of the bottle into a tulip. This beer looks very nice. It's a murky dark orange with about a finger of white head.

S: hops, malt and some spices. Not too much going on in the nose.

T: very hoppy as one would expect with a slightly sweet malt backbone. This beer is actually very refreshing. Leaves a nice bitter coating on the back of the pallet.

M: medium bodied on the lighter side. with light carbonation.

Overall: one of my favorite beers from sierra Nevada they did a fantastic job with this brew 10/10 would bang.
