Poured into a pint glass out of a 750ml bottle.

Pours a clear dark copper with a thick foamy off-white head. Outstanding head retention with equally good lacing.

Aroma is understate but full of dank hops with plenty of piney notes. Just a touch of grapefruit stuck in there.

The flavor is nearly all hops up front with plenty of spiciness along with resiny pine. There are some touches of tropical fruit but they are more understated. A good malt base with a little bit of roast and biscuit. Bitterness is quite high and lingers long after a slightly sticky finish.

Overall, a very good beer but it stops short of being outstanding. I love the fact that it is a wet hop ale and all the ingredients were grown on site.

Enormous amount of lacing, awesome redish-orange color, and really all around one of the best tasting IPA's I've ever had. Bravo, Sierra Nevada.

Had no hop aroma or the flavors I look forward to in wet hop ipa's.

Big (750mL) bottle served in chalice. BA says this is American IPA, which coming from Sierra Nevada is not a surprise, although the label offers little more than "organic wet hop ale @ 6.7% abv". Beer pours nicely reddish orange, clear, with an ample off-white head. Bright and floral hop aroma, very pleasant. Flavor is alpha hop up front but quickly fades to a deeper note which proves this beer is not without malt backbone. I get a grainy, unmalted barley flavor. Overall: relatively drinkable, and quite enjoyable, West coast IPA.
