2011 Edition from a brown 22 oz. bomber, picked up in Ponderay, Idaho. Pours out a slightly hazed rustic copper/amber hue, tall creamy beige head that retains and slowly drops to a thick cap. Thick rings of lacing.
Bready and caramel malt on the nose, some dry grains, floral and fruity hops, some dry spicy hops.
Very balanced in the flavour dep't. Dry grainy, toasty malt, followed with spicy, floral, citrusy hops. There is refinement in lieu of intensity.
Medium-light bodied mouthfeel, silky, slippery, slick texture, moderate carbonation.
The lingering impression is how well balanced this IPA is, truly refined, and showing off some skill. Dry for an IPA, definitely a slow sipper.
