Bottle poured into a pint glass. Fresh, 2011 Harvest.
A - Light amber in color with a giant rocky white head that leaves good lacing all the way down the glass. The beer has a slight haze to it.
S - Big piney hop nose, also quite a bit of grapefruit smelling hops. Very strong hop presence. Quite hard to pick up any malt after being dominated by these wonderful "wet" hops.
T - This ends up being quite balanced for a standard IPA. Light caramel malts shine through to begin even some faint roasted qualities to it. The beer has great piney/prickly hop flavors right before finishing pretty dry.
M - Medium bodied especially for the style. Low to medium carbonation but excellent and persistent head.
O - I enjoyed all 24ounces of this good IPA.
