Cheers to Goblinmunkey7 for sharing this absurdly fresh bottle
Appearance: Deep copper with some nice orange highlights - foamy, white head, sticks around and leaves a little wall of lacing - nice clarity
Smell: Damp, leafy hops everywhere - citrus rinds and some damp pine needles - mint leaves - hoppy sweetness and a nice amount of sweetness from caramel malts - great malt base, lightly toasted biscuits and caramel grains
Taste: Wet and weird, in a good way - leafy, earthy, herbal, and minty - damp citrus rinds and damp pine - nicely hoppy and bitter - floral, too - lightly sweet with a nice malt base - caramel malts and some paler malts
Mouthfeel: Medium body, great level of carbonation, very smooth, quaffable
Overall: Sierra Nevada make good beer? That's unpossible!
This is the flavor of fresh. It tastes damp, wet, and immature. And it works. It's very hoppy without being abrasive at all.
