24 oz. bottle to humongous dimpled mug.
The red-amber-brown color of fresh-brewed iced tea capped with an enormous rocky froth of white head. Huge chunks of lacing grab the glass while the head ebbs into a mimicry of floating vanilla ice-cream.
Doesn't smell too dangerous. Lots of C-hop here. Duh. But the promise of balance is there with a perceptible pale and caramel malt aroma in evidence.
The taste delivers on the promise of the nose. Super-juicy hop flavor presents itself against a beautifully established malt backdrop. The hops are citric and resiny. The malt character is strong enough to keep the hops from running completely amok while still keeping its sweetness well in-check.
A wonderful example of a well-balanced beer. Nothing to be bored about in this bottle and yet nothing to fear. Absolutely bursting with hop flavor without the often-characteristic acid-burn of many other American IPAs.
