Poured from a 22oz bottle into two pint glasses.
Pours a crystal clear dark amber with about two fingers of very fluffy head that dissipated quickly. Lots of lacing left behind.
The smell is all piney and grapefruity hops.
Taste is true to smell, but more grapefruit than anything else, and a wonderful bitterness that lingers for a long time. No noticeable alcohol presence. Very pleasant carbonation.
Mouthfeel is good. Not too thin, not thick and sticky either.
I am really enjoying this beer. I bought this to share with my wife and it wasn't a huge hit with her. She didn't dislike it, but I think the hop profile is more forward than she's used to as a die hard Dales Pale Ale drinker. The peppery notes were a bit much for her, but I didn't pick that up at all. I will be looking for Southern Hemisphere this spring.
