Sample: 1 bottle 2011

A: Very thick head, great internal carbonation, pure copper orange in color

S: Very intense citrus notes, hints of herbal, almost grapefruit-like in nature

T: Amazing and strong hop flavor, citrus, nice balance between sweet and bitter elements

M: Incredibly smooth, nice floral aftertaste, not too lingering, does dry the mouth a bit, however

O: An excellent hop-forward brew, light in the mouth but strong in its flavor

2011 bomber poured in to a pint glass.

Poured a light amber in to my pint glass.Very fluffy light tan head. The head slowly cascaded into a nice rockiness. Nice sticky bubbles weere left on the side of the glass.

Strong floral and citrus hops up front in the nose. Light bread/doughy malts bring a nice sweetness.

Bitter floral hops sting the tounge at first. Bready malt and light caramel and apple follow. A grapefruity finish ends each sip. The post-sip burp is delightful.

Medium bodied that leaves a nice resiny coating. Nice carbonation. Lingering sweetness, but an overall clean finish.

I've had this in the pass and have always been impressed. This would be an amazing year-round brew, but alas, it is not. I look forward to having this again next year.

Poured from a 24oz bottle into a Dogfish Head pint glass

Pours a beautiful, hazy, amber color with a perfect off white head that is slow to fade away but as it does leaves a nice film of lacing on the glass. With the initial smell I get a fruity, soapy smell with a finish of sweetness. With the first taste I notice the crispness and the freshness of this beer. There is not as much flavor as I would like but as it sits on your tongue the flavors start to erupt. Very similarly to FFF Broo Doo and Harvest Ale from Founders it has a heavy fruit flavor that is nice, but unlike the other two this one's is hard to find. I would put this as my 3rd favorite Wet Hopped Ale behind the two I have already mentioned. If I had not had those others before this, this beer would be exceptional but since I have something to compare it to it does not hold up. Still a great beer and for $5.49 here it is a great steal.

Beer poured into a tulip.

Appearance: Beer pours a nice golden brown with red highlights. Two fingers of fluffy white head that last almost the whole time you are drinking. Lots of lace down the sides.

Smell: Lots of pine, sweet fruits like mangos and pineapple with some citrus at the end.

Taste: Well balanced, the hop and malt are just about perfect in this one. Sweet and bitter at the same time.

Mouth: Nice carbonation, light on the palate. With a dry ending.

Overall: Very good beer. Bitter, sweet and dry all the way. I will be getting this one on the next trip to the beer shop. Cheers.

It pours a dark amber color with a decent amount of head.

The aroma is mostly hops and a slight hint of sweet grapes.

Taste wise is a good balance between hops, malts and a subtle amount of grapes. Despite all the fresh hops used in this, they do not overwhelm the palate and the slight sweetness balances the mild bitterness.

It is very easy to drink not only because of the light-medium body, but also because of the refreshing taste.

Definitely one of the best I have enjoyed from Sierra Nevada.
