12oz bottle into Duvel tulip. From the 2012 Beer Camp 12pack.
Appearance: Free pour yields a 1.5 inch frothy white head that dissipates quickly leaving spotty lacing. Crystal clear orange-ish yellow. No additional lacing. Head retention so bad it looks like apple juice.
Smell: Bold floral and spicy German hops, giving a thick, oily impression. Nice mild sweet citrus underneath. Light bready malt background.
Taste: Chewy, sugary orange candy-like citrus hops, tinged with the same spicy/floral noble hop notes from the aroma. Nice, with a whitebread backbone that barely makes itself noticed.
I like the conceit here (pilsner flavors with the hop element dialed up to 11), but the balance is off. Still, I'm going all the way up to a 4 because the hop flavor is so robust, and the overall taste is unique and delicious.
Mouthfeel: Light side of medium bodied. Smooth and soft, not quite juicy, but kind of oily. Wish it finished crisper/dryer to cut that oily feel. Moderate carbonation despite looking still.
Overall: Tasty beer. Could be educational for pilsner haters. Whether it serves that purpose or not, I'm satisfied with it. Wish it were better balanced and had a better feel, but I'm impressed overall.

A- Clear golden yellow body and a white foam cap of head. Constant stream of bubbles.
A- Clean malt light grassy hops.
T- Grainy sweet malt with a light bitterness that comes through more and sticks around in the finish. Not much in the way of hop flavor.
M- Medium body and smooth with an appropriate level of carbonation.
D- It's not bad, but there are better pilsners out there.
