Splurged on this year's Beer Camp 12 pack. While $18 is more than I'll usually drop for 12 beers, this series always has some interesting beers.
Still not sure just what an Imperial Pils really is (and can you be labeled "imperial" below 6%?), but I'll give it a go.
A -- Good clear golden with a dense, sudsy, off-white head that holds up well.
S -- Can smell spicy hops at arm's length -- spicy, herbal noble hop character very reminiscent of SN Summerfest. Not much malt peeking thru.
T -- Citrusy, resinous hop note up front that balances with some crackery malt in the middle and finishes with a spicy, herbal bitterness. That bitterness is there and gone quickly, not lingering long on the tongue. The herbal character lingers nicely into the aftertaste.
M -- Mouthfeel is soft to mildly syrupy -- as if there are some unattenuated malts lingering, but the finish is still clean and near dry. The body is light-medium.
O -- I can see this as a hopped up German Pilsner because of the light malt character, but Imperial? Certainly not strong enough to hit Maibock range. The hop character of this beer is very appetizing and leaves the palate wanting more.

A- Clear golden yellow body and a white foam cap of head. Constant stream of bubbles.
A- Clean malt light grassy hops.
T- Grainy sweet malt with a light bitterness that comes through more and sticks around in the finish. Not much in the way of hop flavor.
M- Medium body and smooth with an appropriate level of carbonation.
D- It's not bad, but there are better pilsners out there.
