I'm excited to try a beer brewed by the masters at Sierra Nevada *and* real honest-to-God monks.
Pours a lovely deep amber in color with an equally lovely thick head of foam that reduces to a quarter-inch solid block of off-white in my tulip glass.
Sweet aroma, with a slight musty note.
A little light in the flavor department. I can taste black pepper, dried fruit and nuts, just not enough of 'em. It tastes a little watered down, sad to say.
Body is also a little watery.
Overall this is an OK beer. I'm shocked that it's so light and watery. Hopefully future batches will be better.
