750ml Bottle from Wegmans Dewitt NY for $10

Appearance - Slightly hazy golden colour with an average size white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 2-3 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Apples, corn, breads/grains, yeast, banana

Taste & Mouth - There is an above average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, corn and apples. There is also some bread/grains/yeast and a bit of banana, almond, and clove.

Overall - Not outstanding, but very good nonetheless. Well balanced and a nice array of flavours.

Bottle purchased in a mixed sixer from Beer Temple, Chicago, IL

Poured into a sam Adams tulip

A- cloudy dark amber, visible rising bubbles, one finger heat that shakes your hand and says ”hows it going”

S- fruity, yeasty, the mandarins orange is prominent. Spice, more fruit, orange peel, black tea

T- juicy front almost like a mimosa, sweetness relieves and gives way to alcohol and citric acidity, Not as much spiciness as I'd expect, but there is something peppery to the warmth that isn't just alcohol. very nice

M- considerably light but it suits the overall fruitiness. A nice effervescent sparkle along with some varying warming aspects

O- this has been on my bucket list for a minute now. I'm happy to have given it a whirl. Definitely a step up from Brux, not the best sierra Nevada collab ever, worth a try. There's enough character here to justify it, despite the increase in releases of the saison style.

A - As I was pouring it, I became a bit worried. Thin, bubbly head that quickly receded. No lace. No sparkle in the color. Hazy, but not that hazy. Golden copper in color. Not much here.

S - Similar to the appearance, there wasn't much to grab hold of here. I get the aroma of what I consider to be an "abbey" scent. Slightly musty, but in a good way, if that makes sense.

T - More Abbey Tripel than Farmhouse Saison. So I can see how the collaboration is working here. The taste follows the nose. Nice, complex flavors, ever so slight bitterness. Mild sweetness. The abbey/farmhouse funk is the lead player here. Barely noticeable alcohol on the finish.

M - A little thinner than I would like, but nice fully carbonated feel. Slightly tingly on the tongue. Want to rate higher, but just a bit too thin. Mildly dry. Cleaner than I expected.

O - As others have said before me, it's a good beer and a good value. I'm going to enjoy my bomber tonight. It will not blow your hair back, or knock your socks off. It will, however, float your boat.
