Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a Harpoon 100 Barrel Series stemmed glass.
The color is a cloudy dark orange with about two finger of foamy white head and some thick lacing left on the glass.
The smell is pretty grassy in the nose. There is a citrus hop that is to be expected from the aroma with some fruity flavors that give off a sugary fruit flavor.
The taste is sweet fruit flavor like a fruity candy flavor mixed into a cocoon of sugary sweet candy like hops with a small broom of malt flavor that pushes the hops down till there is no more. There is no stopping the slap-bang of american hops in this beer and it leaves you to make the decision to fight it or embrace it.
The feel of this beer is all west coast. Just as you would expect there is a heavy hop flavor throughout but it does not place a heavy burden on the senses as this beer goes down. It lets you go at the end and that's what counts.
