A: Pours a golden copper into my pint glass. Nice frothy head and sticky-icky lacing. Nice.
S: A lot of resin & hops but balanced with a malt profile. Doesn't smell overly sweet.
T: Ripe citrus, saliva-inducing bitterness and a rich malt profile. Not sweet at all and the 8.5% is well hidden.
M: Very smooth indeed. The bitterness does not overpower and the finish is well-balanced.
O: A great offering from Sierra Nevada and it's nice to see a solid attempt at the DIPA category. While this is no Pliny, it is up there with great west coast DIPAs.
