A - Pours a rich gold color into my snifter with a little over a finger of head that has pretty nice retention and good sticky lacing.
S - Very hop forward, as one would expect. Grapefruit citrus and earth pine, sweet malts, cracker and a touch of honey.
T - Hops are big and fresh, nice bite and bitterness that lasts though out the entire tasting process. Grapefruit rind, pine, resin, caramel malts are present to keep things in check but are not getting in the way of the hops. When I taste a fresh DIPA I want aggressive hops and I have been turned off to DIPAs that have become too malty.
M - Smooth, creamy, well balanced carbonation.
O - I really think this is a great DIPA and I love that fact the the hops are as aggressive as they are.
