Purchased as a single from Red Dog Wine & Spirits in Franklin, TN. Poured into a shaker pint glass a medium yellow, a little lighter than I typically expect from a double IPA. The head was plentiful at almost 2" from a vigorous pour, white in color, and very thick, frothy and strong. It laced well and floated like a cloud on top of the beer for the majority of the serving. Initial aroma is very strong, with ample pineyness and some minor citrus. Alcohol is also noticed slightly in the aroma. Taste is similar but with some sweetness present from the malts, slightly caramel. Bitterness is still delivered in the flavor of piney hops. Feel is crisp, slightly dry, and medium bodied. I noticed a little bit of oiliness on the finish. Overall I really enjoyed the beer, a good double IPA but not the best I have ever had. Generally a good offering that fits squarely in the style.
