Beer Camp #29 2011. Poured into a tumbler
A: Poured a light hazy pale golden yellow in color. Head is an off white 2 fingers worth of head, which leaves behind a good amount of sticky resinous lacing.
S: Nose is floral, piney, and has some very small citrus notes. Typical smelling IPA, but this is a DIPA so I was expecting a bigger nose. Malts are also coming through as well, balancing with some caramel sweetness.
T: Taste is bitter, very piney, not getting much of a malt balance. Small biscuity malts, but just a touch.
M: Medium bodied, Lightly coats the mouth, but carbonation is a bit low. Therefore, the palate isn't refreshed is I would like. Overall not the best DIPA I've had.
