Sierra Nevada Double IPA is a hazy, light golden ale with a thin, creamy, bubbly white head that leaves thick sheets of lacing on the glass. It has a big grapefruit-pine aroma with a fruity sweetness. Pine is the biggest element here. It's pretty full bodied and quite smooth with a crisp, dry finish. It's quite flavorful with a lot of pine resin and grapefruit peel. The malt tastes biscuity and peppery and balances things out pretty well. This is well done. A Sierra Nevada double IPA is something I feel like I've been waiting for. It delivers.
