Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Features a significany amount of head that persists well throughout drinking, leaving a nice amount of lacing.. Beer itself is a pale copper. Smell is a bit less intense than hoped for, with malty, bready notes upfront, and mild hoppiness discernable in the background. Taste continues the malty trend, but the hops come into play a bit more strongly, the two combining to good effect, though perhaps with just a bit too much sweetness.. Mouthyfeel was a bit thin, though not unpleasant. I would have preferred just a bit more carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable example of the style, though clearly a notch below Anchor Steam.
