Poured from 12oz bottle. Thanks once again goes out to betsona for buying the mix pack.
A- Pours a light hazed golden orange color. One finger white head shows good retention. A little thick lace on the sides of the glass.
S- Banana is the first thing that smacks my nostrils! Tons of banana and light hints of bubblegum on the ending. Clove and hints of wheat come and go in the nose as well. Alcohol is light sweet and crisp smelling in the ending. Makes my mouth water.
T- Oh shit....this is good! Banana and clove right off the bat with about 90% banana it seems like. Middle of the beer has a light wheat taste and hints of bubblegum. The ending shows off more in terms of banana and hitns of clove. Alcohol is crisp and over almost as soon as it touches the palate.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Banana and clove are left all over the palate. Aftertaste is alcohol, bubblegum and hints of banana. Flavors were a little off balanced but in a good way in my opinion. No off flavors at all while drinking. Medium heavy alcohol drying on the palate.
O- I freakin loved this beer. It reminded me of FFF's Crunk Monk. Holy shit Sierra Nevada really stepped up their game with this one. The ABV isn't a problem and lets you really drink this one down.

Weizenbock is definitely one of the most unheralded and underrated styles out there that lends itself to higher alcohol wheat beers that burst with flavor. Sierra Nevada didn't hit the mark on this one - bland and watered down and lacking any sort of cohesiveness. The yeast profile just needs to be much tighter than this - some clove, peppercorn, sweet bread struggle to stick out. Very disapointing.
