-cloudy gold with an orange hue. there is an okay white head to start, but it retreats to the safer edges of the glass quite quickly
-big banana and wheat, with small apple on the nose as well as a nice malt sweetness. there is a weird rubbing alcohol smell and sting in there if you keep your nose shoved in the glass long enough
-i taste some apple sweetness up front and then the banana rolls in hard. there is the wheat within the background the whole time
-tight carbonation within a semi dry, medium bodied beer. i seem to wish it was a bit lighter bodied, but i guess that comes with the 6.8%
-overall, this is a beer i enjoy. for the flavor and style family, i prefer a smaller bodied, more sessionable beer. that being said, there wasn't an aspect of the beer that i disliked by any means

Weizenbock is definitely one of the most unheralded and underrated styles out there that lends itself to higher alcohol wheat beers that burst with flavor. Sierra Nevada didn't hit the mark on this one - bland and watered down and lacking any sort of cohesiveness. The yeast profile just needs to be much tighter than this - some clove, peppercorn, sweet bread struggle to stick out. Very disapointing.
