Had on tap at Crunchy's in East lansing.
A: Pours a clear gold with a quarter of white head.
S: Banana aromas.
T: Light banana upfront followed by some peppery spice. Just a hint of hop bitterness in the dry finish.
M: Light body with average carbonation.
O: An average beer.

Had on tap at Flying Saucer in Nashville.
Beer pours a hazy yellow.
Smell is slightly of bannana and yeast. Citrusy is also slightly present.
Beer tastes very light. A bit of yeast up front, followed by slight pepper on a finish.
Mouthfeel is very thin.
Not a bad sessional saison, but nothing special also.

Packaging: 64 oz. growler
Purchased: Growler fill at Frugal McDougals, Nashville
Appearance: Very clear, with a golden color. Head is white and about 2 fingers high on the pour. Lacing is moderate.
Smell: Classic funky Belgian farmhouse ale yeast dominates, with some fruity/citrus aromas and floral notes in the background.
Taste: Crisp, dry and tart, like a dry wine. Moderately bitter with no sweetness. Lessor tastes include pale malts combined with spicy and peppery flavors.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is fairly high with a thin body. The finish is dry and acidic, with a lingering bitterness.
Overall: A good beer. I would have preferred a little less of the bitter/dry taste that seemed to overshadow the fruit and spicy flavors.

Bonnaroo Brew served on tap in Nashville. Poured into shaker pint...
A- Pours very clear and light straw golden color. Nice dense white head about an inch thick, completely coats top half of the glass then leaves lacing rings for rest of the pint.
S- Slight yeast funk. Nice citrus balance. Fairly light for saison but not so much its ridiculously out of style. I appreciate that this was a brew meant to be refreshing for the masses at Bonnaroo.
T/M- Yeast bite is there but subtle. Tiny tartness on the back end. Overall, nothing too crazy but good example of american saison. Citrus hops are refreshing, crisp, and provide a smooth bitterness to round it out. Moderate carbonation for the style and a light/medium body...
O- I would buy this again. Saison is my favorite summertime style and though this isn't the best saison I've had by any stretch, it is overall of the lightest and most refreshing while still maintaining saison profile integrity. Glad I had the chance to taste this!
