A: Fairly clear amber with a bubbly off white head with good retention and lacing.
S: Lots of malt with that Sierra Nevada house smell. Pine and a bit of bitter grapefruit as well.
T: Fairly nice big malt bill. The malt is pretty straightforward, a little on the toasty side. Some citrus, grapefruit and just a bit of floral and earthy hops come in next. The hops are there, but they kind of take a back seat to the malt.
M: Medium body, average to slightly higher carbonation, but still feels fairly smooth.
O: Good drinkability for a borderline imperial red. Big malts, not too heavy on the hops. A lot better than the floral IPA, right up there with the pilsner and oat stout... Might be the best in the bunch.
