12oz Bottle from Bear World Watertown NY for 2.50$
Appearance - Hazy redish copper colour with an above average size fizzy beige coloured head. There isn't a lot of carbonation showing and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for over 5 minutes.
Smell - Malts, caramel, hops, citrus
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste caramel and malts mixed with a fair amount of hops. There is also some grapefruit/resin mixed with a sugary sweetness. It ends with a sweet malty aftertaste with some lingering bitterness.
Overall – I think I expected more from Sierra Nevada but this is still a very tasty beer. I'd like a little more citrus punch but maybe that would make it more of a IPA/DIPA. Glad to have tried.
