Third from the 2012 Beer Camp Series. An "imperial" red, huh? Wonder where that might fall. Rather daunting at 8%.
A -- Clear, bright -- almost cherry wood red color. Sudsy, light tan head that holds up well and leaves good lacing.
S -- Mellow, but assertive citrus and piny hops. Light caramel malts.
T -- Biscuity caramel malts up front that blend into an earthy and citrus hop character that finishes with a touch of citrus fruit and spicy bitterness. Some lingering pepperiness from alcohol in the aftertaste. Some mild earthiness lingers in the aftertaste.
M -- Mouthfeel is chewy to crisp with a drying finish and medium body.
O -- Probably my favorite selection of the 12 pack. This beer is full of different characters, yet they all work together for a great glass full of beer.
