A: Pours a hazed copper/orange color. At first a two finger white head forms, and gently recedes to nothing. Not much lace is left behind.
S: Plasticy, phenolic Brett yeast. Cracked pepper, biscuit/doughy malts. Citrus and tart lemons.
T: Follows the nose. Phenolic, funky yeast. Peppery spice. Biscuit malts and tart tangy lemons. Finishes very dry.
M/D: A medium body that is very crisp and dry. Not hard to drink, the bottle is enjoyable. Don't know if I would purchase another though.

Enjoyable enough. The Brett is really apparent and makes this a little to phenolic and plastic for my tastes. Still worth a try.

look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3

1 pint 9.4 fl oz brown glass bottle with hood and wire cap over a cork served into a conical Guinness pint glass in me gaff in low altitude Los Angeles, California. Reviewed live. Expectations are high given that Russian River was involved (Sierra Nevada - meh).

Served straight from the refrigerator and allowed to warm over the course of consumption. Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.

A: Pours a four finger head of beige colour, decent cream, decent thickness, and good retention. Colour is a clear vibrant yellow. No bubble show. No yeast particles are visible.

Sm: Heavy fresh bretts, yeast, cream, clean malts, and citrus. A very pleasant moderate strength aroma. I can't wait to try it.

T: Clean malts and heavy yet still somehow subtly executed bretts. The blend of yeast with lactic notes and malts is very pleasant yet lacks complexity. It's tasty and biscuity. Some lemon peel. Pear and spice add needed depth, whilst maintaining the fragile balance. Alcohol warms the stomach but is nowhere in the flavour profile. Per the label, there is some slight tartness.

Mf: Crisp, nicely coarse (per the crystal malt I assert), wet, and refreshing. Suits the flavours quite nicely.

Dr: Drinkable, pleasant, and very enjoyable. Hides its ABV quite well. I like it, but it does lack complexity. It'll satisfy any brett cravings anyone has. It is what it advertises. I'd get it again. Might age well.
