It pours a deep gold colour with a huge head of foam and it leaves some nice lacing behind.
The smell is very hoppy, lots of fresh piney notes that bring a ton of bitterness. I can't say I get any malt out of the nose.
The taste starts out very bitter; the pine is over whelming other flavours that must be there. It seems to calm down a bit after a few more sips. I get an earthy malt kick just before the finish and the finish itself is rather mild and slightly watery after the initial burst of flavours.
This is light bodied with medium carbonation; a so so mouthfeel.
This isn't a bad IPA. I drinks okay but I'd not buy another Beer Camp pack just for this beer.
