This unique take on the traditional IPA style pairs the bold and intense aromas of whole-cone hop "flowers" with aromatic natural rose hips and petals for complex aromas and unexpected flavors.

Pours a slightly hazy muddled copper color with a solid one inch cream head that leaves sheets of lacing.
Aroma is dominated by floral hops, with hints of citrus, and a very malty, caramel backbone. Herbal hops round out the profile. Notes of rose petals and nuttiness emerge.
Flavor reveals more floral, perfumey hops, which are fairly bitter. There's a note of grapefruit pith emerging late, along with lemon and toasted breadcrust, but it pretty much tastes like inhaling perfume. Pine surfaces as it warms, along with herbal tea.
Body is moderate, with moderate carbonation. There's a touch of hop astringency and alcohol warmth at the finish.
Overall, I thought the hop flavor was disappointing. The bitterness overtook subtle floral flavors, and the balance toward floral flavoring hop combined with this to be fairly offputting.

"Copper/light brown color with a clear appearance. I don't like the aroma of the hops in this beer. Taste is too bitter, again for Sierra Nevada!! I haven't had an i.p.a. from these guys that I hadn't though was too bitter and harsh - torpedo, hoptimum.... I guess the "wet hopped harvest was pretty good. Medium body and carbonation. hoppiness gets more "palatable" as you drink but still too harsh.
