Served in straight pint glass. Poured a mildly hazy honey gold color, with just the thinnest cap of white head that had no retention or lacing.

The aroma was sweet and malty, with very faint notes of the expected spice, yeast, and grain. On the tongue, it was a very subdued, and mellow example of the style. Malty with a noticeable grain aspect, very subtle yeast, and very low spice.

The body was way thicker and stickier that I like for the style. Drinkability was OK, but I'm not in a hurry for another. Overall, a solid, decent brew, but nothing worth seeking out. Try it or don't.

On tap at the source. Near perfect appearance for a saison, bright yellow/orange, massive 2" white head on the top, good lacing and retention. Aroma was pungent yeast, saison is supposed to be that way, and this was strong even for a pungent saison yeast.

Nice crisp feel to the beer, the taste is still dominated by the yeast, it isn't phenolic or whatnot, but it hits hard. Alcohol is nicely hidden in this one. Mild spice note, some coriander and pepper if you look for it. Pretty clean and traditional. I'm not huge for saisons, but I do like some Fantome, North Coast and now Sierra Nevada.

On tap at Rattle-N-Hum in NYC; pours clear gold with a 1 finger white head that faded on the faster side and left decent spotty lacing.

Smells of yeast, coriander, lemon, herbs, biscuit, light caramel, piney hops and a mix if light spices; very soft and enjoyable with no real dominant aroma, more if a blend.

Tastes very sweet up front with malt, yeast, coriander, wheat bread, lemon, herbs, biscuit, light caramel, piney hops, wet toasted grains and a mix if light spices; the alcohol peeks through and the yeasty sweetness takes control with accents of citrus and spices throughout. Hops are timid for a Sierra Nevada beer, which is good for the style.

Mouthfeel is light, crisp and almost watery, with a light body that has some texture, light fizzy carbonation and a semi-dry finish that was almost chalky with a mix of sweet malt, yeast and spices. A very easy drinking beer that may not have the intense Belgian-like Saison flavors, but what it lacked there it made up in drinkability. I liked it and would have it again.

Growler purchased from the brewery two days ago. Tag says 8%ABV, 18 IBU.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with about two fingers of short-lived white head that quickly faded into a lasting film and collar. Patchy chunky lacework was left down the glass.
S: Sweet, fruity, spicy and full of yeast with notes of golden fruits, sweet stone fruits, peppery yeast, and coriander. Fruit and yeast forward.
T: Follows the nose with tons of fruits mixed with a decent dose of peppery spices and crackery yeast. Grain base is crisp but almost completely masked by the golden fruit. Golden delicious apples, golden pears, apricots and white grapes are noticeable. Finish is lightly bitter with just a touch of vanilla and wood, and the aftertaste is sweet and vinous.
M: Soft and refreshing carbonation, full body with a smooth and sweet mouthfeel.
O: A fruit forward saison with a nice white wine vinous quality to it. Spicy and sweet, I’d drink this again.

On tap for the 4th Anniversary event at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear honey orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, spices, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with a nice fruity flavor. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some nice aromas and flavors that make it refreshing and easy to drink.
