2012 bottle into SAVOR tulip.
A: pretty dark body, just a shade under black. head is coffee hued and forthy. residual head is average as is the lacing.
S: chocolate, tobacco, and coffee. the sugary sweetness has a roundness to it.
T: some black licorice is in there. a little bit of vanilla. finish is a blend of coco and coffee. lingering sweetness is pretty close to a dry chocolate.
M: the carbonation is a bit lively. more-so than i expected. full bodied.
D: a good stout for sure, unfortunately for myself i expected a little more. maybe an additional dimension of flavor that i couldnt find. however i do appreciate the lack of alcohol heat on such a recent, high abv stout. good, definitely worth grabbing for a solid stout experience.
