Among the darkest beers I've ever poured, even the head has a black hue to it, making it almost gray.
The aroma is rich, full of dark fruit, roasted grain, but almost a meaty roast, not a coffee roast.
The taste, however doesn't seem as full. There is a little astringency that comes through, though that may be the chill, it needs to warm up. Still though, not amazing. Just a slightly better than average RIS here.
Mouthfeel is also fairly thin, but has appropriate carbonation.
Overall, not really something I will seek out, but not something I will pass up if offered either. I have just never been blown away by SN stouts.
Serving type: on-tap
