12 oz bottle. Pours a deep black color with a large frothy tan head. The head dissipates into a thin film that is quickly revived with a swirl of the glass. Aroma is great, comprising of coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor follows suit and adds a sweetness and bitterness into the mix. Thick texture and chewy. Full bodied yet incredibly smooth and drinkable for the high ABV. Great imperial stout that I probably would not go out of my way to seek out but would enjoy anytime.

A- Body is a dark brown nearly black hue. Pours with a 1-2 finger foamy tan head. It fades to a thin collar and no lacing is left behind in the glass.

S- Pretty typical for an IRS. Chocolate, anise, a little bit of alcohol.

T- A lot like the nose but with roasted malt bitterness at the finish.

M- Medium to high carbonation, thick, heavy body.

O- Overall this is a pretty good imperial stout. Pretty typical for an imperial stout. Chocolate, anise, booze, roasted malt bitterness.

Enjoyed from a growler in a snifter, this fantastic imperial stout pours a thick, rich, black as sin with a thick light brown head that holds on for some time till finally turning int o a thin layer with fantastic lacing. Nose of dark chocolate, deeply roasted grains, toffee, and strong alcoholic UMPH! Flavors are bakers chocolate and dark sweet malts to the front and sides mingling with dark fruits of plum and dark cherries on the back. Rich coating mouth feel and coating finish. A stout lovers dream. Excellent.

This beer is very similar to Old Rasputin however the ABV gives it a slight edge that once you finish the beer, you're left feeling some warmth in your body.
