Poured from growler into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep reddish copper color with a nice two finger foamy khaki colored head. The head has fantastic retention, fading very slowly over time to leave some nice streaks of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of caramel sweetness mixed with some nice roasted malt aromas. Along with these smells are a nice moderately potent hop profile. There is a big dose of pine mixed with some notes of grapefruit and an herbal aromas, giving the smell a nice hopped nature overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a smooth roasted bread and slight caramel sweetness. Right from the start there are flavors of pine on the tongue with a little bit of grapefruit hop as well. As the taste advances more caramel sweetness comes to the tongue with flavors of some fruits, being mainly of apple and peach, coming as well. Toward the end of the taste, with the sweetness now up to its highest level, more hop comes to the tongue with a nice increase in the pine as well as the arrival of some herbal and grassy tastes, in the end balancing the sweeter and roastier flavors well and leaving a present hop aftertaste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. The pour from the growler did quite a nice job with the flavors of the brew as the creamier body and slightly lower carbonation were very nice for complimenting the hoppy and roasted tastes with the sweeter flavors.
Overall – A very enjoyable brew and one I will certainly go to over and over again.

A- Pours a gorgeous fiery red with carbonation bubbles racing upwards to form a decadent soft-white head of foam.
S- Smells of a terrific blend of spicy pine hops with a sweet malty backbone.
T- Taste is extremely reminiscent of the smell. The Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial tops tingle the taste buds, while the darkened malt taste sweetens the back end.
M- Nice, crisp, and well-carbonated. No surprises here. Goes down like a typical 6.5% IPA.
O- Very unique beer we have here. It is an IPA no questions asked, but it is a different breed of IPA. Not quite as roasty and malty as a black IPA, nor not as citrusy and bitter as a IIPA or even an IPA for that matter. Sierra Nevada continues to truly brew staples of each different beer style. A red IPA is mean't to blend together and blur the lines of IPA's and other styles. This particular brew does just that. There are a handful of breweries that just can't miss, Sierra Nevada is among them. To infinity, and beyond.

12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a tawny, rust-toned body with a smallish, near white head. Light haze. Little lacing.
Smell: Predominately hoppy, notes of grapefruit, additional oily citrus and even a sliver of mango. Rather grassy with pine-hinting resins. Underneath, a little basic toast and grain.
Taste: Toasted breadcrusts, touches of grain and a low, brief caramel-esque sweetness. Very, very faint unsweetened chocolate powder. Sharp, citric grapefruit and orangy kicks with a leisurely bitterness. Moderately resinous, grassy. Pulls up on the grassy, resiny tones at the tail end and into the bitter, drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It's red, it's bitter. I was fine with it.

Pours into a standard pint glass a deep amber/tawny with a great looking billowing light beige head atop, great color and a great head,it just looks like fall.Aromas of citric hops and nutty malt with light caramel sweetness. The palate is alot like aromas with a good shot of citric hops intertwined with nutty maltiness with a little brown sugar in the finish.A solid hoppy amber ale,I could drink quite a few of these this fall.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark ruby amber with a huge rocky off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet caramel and toffee malt with some rye and some light resin hops.
The flavor is sweet nutty toffee malts with some piney resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, more of a hoppy nutty amber than what I would call an IPA of any color.
