[Suggested Glassware: Tulip Glass]
The pour was a hazy mahogany brown with an average (1-2 finger) light tan creamy head that diminished slowly, eventually becoming a large puddled film with a medium collar and had good streaky lacing.
The aroma was of toasted bread malts, pine hops and an earthy yeast with hints of caramel, citrus (grapefruit) and a light fruity ester.
The taste was mildly malty sweet with a slight fruitiness and a touch of caramel from the start (which was present throughout), and then became extremely hoppy with a strong pine presence and a nice citrus peel bitter towards the finish. The flavor hung on for an extremely long time proceeding the swallow, with the hoppy citrus peel bitterness lingering on the taste buds for quite a while.
Mouthfeel was almost medium in body with a creamy, dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a pretty damn tasty IPA, with the mildly sweet fruity flavor coming together rather nicely with the bold hoppy bitterness, creating an absolutely pleasurable drinking experience...

This American Amber or Red Ale, is a interesting combination of beers styles that i approve of, though i am not a beer chemist, it sparked me to call a friend of mine who is, to have them explain this flavor to me. It is defiantly better then i thought it would be, although I had no idea what to expect from a 'red ipa' i was impressed with Sierra Nevada's Flipside. Its smokey dark appearance was a interesting factor, but its smell, was the sort of beer I wish they would bottle and smell as an AXE body spray. The mouth feel and taste where both outstanding in my opinion and I did really like this beer.
