12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a tawny, rust-toned body with a smallish, near white head. Light haze. Little lacing.
Smell: Predominately hoppy, notes of grapefruit, additional oily citrus and even a sliver of mango. Rather grassy with pine-hinting resins. Underneath, a little basic toast and grain.
Taste: Toasted breadcrusts, touches of grain and a low, brief caramel-esque sweetness. Very, very faint unsweetened chocolate powder. Sharp, citric grapefruit and orangy kicks with a leisurely bitterness. Moderately resinous, grassy. Pulls up on the grassy, resiny tones at the tail end and into the bitter, drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It's red, it's bitter. I was fine with it.

The most disappointing Sierra Nevada offering I've had yet...and I enjoy their Pale Ale several times a week (and I enjoy red ales a lot).
Pretty much just no taste...well no taste that is good or reminiscent of a red ale/red IPA anyways. Tastes like your most basic beer.
I am not ashamed to say I drank about half and then drain poured the rest of the bottle. Luckily I only picked up one bottle out of a mix-a-six.
