Caramely and tasty! Some of the best Mexican beer I’ve ever had! Hats off to Minerva! Just came back to edit my review… because I read others’ comments. They might be crazy, tastes and smells nothing like an IPA as others have suggested… I like Belgian Strong Ales and it smells and tastes a lot more like a strong ale than it does an ipa, if someone handed me this beer and said it was an ipa I would be shocked and disagree… it’s got more of a sweet figgy taste with very little bitter taste. I like it a lot!

New Years eve 2017. Tequila is better on its own

Beer matured in Tequila oak barrels, sounds interesting.
Amber color with a thin head with short retention.
Nice aroma with notes of oak, slightly toasted malts, umami and caramels.
Flavor with notes of mild smoked and toasted malts, a mild Tequila in the background, vanilla, orange peel, caramel, oak and citrusy hops.
Light body with soft carbonation. Alcohol of 7% abv is amazingly disguised.
I consider this a successful experiment. The Tequila flavored beers I had before tasted terrible. Here the tequila is rather subtle or elegant, which is not bad at all, I would like to drink a version like that and another one with full Tequila blow and hoppier. I believe this is worth trying. They are in the right track, just keep improving it and it can be a great beer.

L- Clear filtered orange body with a frothy but bubbly white head, fades fairly fast.
S- Caramel, vanilla and malt.
T- Tastes like a plain pale ale. Aftertaste leaves hints of smoke, vanilla and a very faint but warm note of tequila.
F- Medium but a bit watery.
O- Expected more, specially on the tequila side. Disappointed, at least it is cheap.

This beer promises so much... and it doesn´t deliver. Very plain pale ale, nothing in particular. It´s supposed to be matured in tequila barrels, but tequila taste is almost non existent.

This was a bit of a let down, bought three bottles in Guadalajara, I expected somewhat of an explosion of flavors due to the tequila barrels but it tasted like any other mexican beer with a slight twist, overall an OK beer but nothing to get excited over.
