Just a nice casual brewery to sit back and enjoy a beer. Plenty of room for a few hundred people. They have a area by a gas fireplace with couches and easy chairs for an intimate spot with friends. the outdoor patio has seating for another 75 to 100 people and is relaxing when the weather is warmer. The food menu has an average selection. This is the sister to Arbor Brewing and where the limited release beer are available. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They also have home brewers beer on tap from time to time.

Atmosphere: very cool place. large outdoor seating area. big indoor area. very relaxed. could use some games such as darts shuffleboard or lawn games, that would make it perfect

Quality: good quality food and beer. they are into the whole environmental movement which i like, grassfeed and free range cattle and the likes.

Service: no waitresses but the bartender and fairly quick and the food came out at a good time

Selection: good variety of beers but tend to be hit or miss. overall they make some gems that are often on the tap list. and happy hour is 20 oz for $3 and normall $5 are quite the deals

Food: pretty good food but not the most varied menu or largest selection. and nothing that makes the trip necessary

Overall: definitely a fun and relaxing place to sit down talk to some friends and have a beer

This is a great laid back place to drink beers. It has a great beer garden and is a great spot to enjoy some sacred cow IPA. The interior space is large which makes it a good spot to hold events. It appears they are making food these days, which I never experienced. This arbor brewing spot in Ypsilanti is well worth it.

3rd stop on our Detroit Brewery crawl.

Located seemingly in a neighborhood in Ypsilanti. Fairly unassuming from the outside and it looks like an old warehouse outside and in. We had been here before but only after the MBG Summer beerfest when there was no power so we opted to try it again. Surprisingly there's very little difference with power! Very dimly lit and quite cold, we all were wearing our winter coats and hats while enjoying our sampler. The interior is very open with a sprawling bar and booths and tables scattered throughout. Very cool fireplace with a couch and chairs on the back wall.

There are were no servers at the time so all orders were placed at the bar. My two friends and I shared samples of their 9 beers ($9) which were arranged nicely on a waiters tray with a cheat sheet. The line-up being their Brasserie Blonde, Serpentarius Belgian pale Ale, Hoptoberfest, sacred Cow, Ryeclops Rye PA, Red Snapper, Tally Wacker, Olde #22, and Phat Abbot tripel. I'm a sucker for Rye beers as this was my favorite of the bunch. Not as well balanced as another Michigan Rye-PA but very close. Tally Wacker was a chile beer that I wasn't' expecting but wasn't too bad. I found the PHat Abbot to be a little harsh.

We ordered their Pizza Margherita at $8.95 expecting a little more than what we got. The pizza was bland and about 8" and with the cold atmosphere it didn't stay hot for long.

Of all the places we visited on our 10-brewery crawl the beers here were far and away the best. During any other time than the winter this place would be great but the cold temps and dim lighting made it hard to enjoy....almost. Ypsilanti doesn't offer much but this place is great to grab a beer, skip the food.

I stopped here with BA jale and a couple of other guys this week. Located in an unlikely place, as you get closer you start to suspect there's nothing but an industrial yard and some housing in the area. I haven't been to Ypsilanti a whole lot but based on this visit it seems that zoning is an issue.

The establishment itself is really good, large enough for a few hundred people, and laid out comfortably. Lots of tables inside, some booths too, and an L-shaped bar with seating for perhaps 20.

There's a patio area with picnic benches that seat ~100, and since the weather was nice that's where we set up. The management set up a corn hole tournament and the competition was fierce but fun.

There were about 6-8 Arbor beers available on tap, also some bottled beer available for on-site consumption or to go. Arbor beers have never been high on my list in the past, but then again they don't distribute very far. I found the 750mL bottled beers to be excellent though, and worth a stop.

went there yesterday (labor day) for the monday special. i have to start off with as a brewery they should offer more variety like limited releases then just stuff i could find at my liquor store. the atmosphere was average. they kinda had a industrial vibe going on. the quality i have to say for myself and others i've talked to is that arbor brewery is lacking in the field that it should be more distintive. most of their beers are dull in whatever category they put them in. the service kinda was weak for being not busy at all. i think there was a total of 5 or 6 people in there. like i said the selection of the beer sucked. go to the store and buy a 6 of their stuff. it would be way cheaper too. didn't try their food but looked at a menu and to me was alil pricey for what they offered. overall i wouldn't care if i ever went back.

I started going to "The Corner" shortly after they opened a couple years ago. This is the place to go if you're looking to spend a lazy afternoon chilling with friends and having a couple good beers. The beer garden is awesome. Its a great place to sit outside, get some sun and play some cards. The inside has lots of tables and couches for relaxing.

The staff is very nice and actually know a little something about the beer brewed there (unlike some other brewpubs I've been to). I was unaware of their winter hours and showed up a little early one Saturday afternoon in January. I was surprised when my friends and I were invited in for a beer anyway. Great people and great beer.

For food they offer a limited menu of appetizers made in house, but also supply a ton of menus for delivery from one of the local establishments. Which, by they way, arrives very quickly.

If in the area be sure to check out Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor - same beer and owners.

We were looking for a beer bar and found this little brewery/beer garden. What a find! Tasty brews, a great atmosphere... lots of beerheads hanging out, and a brewery that is open to guests with brewers willing to answer questions and talk beer.

After sitting on the back patio in easy chairs for a couple of hours trying their several brews we headed back to the brewery. We met a couple of home brewers who were using the facilities and the master brewer. We stood around talking brewing and hearing what projects were in the works... they were experimenting with jalapenos and sage for a Thanksgiving brew. Have to go back and try that one.

If you haven't been to the Corner yet, what are you waiting for? The Arbor Brewing Company has been building a solid following for over ten years now and when Matt and Rene decided to open up shop in Ypsilanti I just knew the place would have me wishing I lived closer. Nothing moderation and a take home growler can't cure. That and a wife who graciously allows me to designate her as the driverÂ…

Anyway the space is an old office building that belonged to a now defunct automobile supplier. It is sectioned into four areas, 1 the brewery (where the magic happens), 2 the lounge (where private events can be held as well as keeping track of the Tigers' run for the pennant on TV), 3 the tap room (where you can choose from a bar stool graced with an investors name, a table or a booth) and 4 the beer garden (where sun and stars dance over your head). The inside is completely non-smoking but you may partake in the beer garden year round if you must. You can take advantage of the free wireless or play one of the numerous board games. And oh yeah, you can drink beer, great beer. Personally I opt for the Sacred Cow IPA which is a solid representation of the style, hopped to perfection with the perfect amount of bitterness in the finish. Although it scores a little below the cask version available at the Pub in Ann Arbor in my book, it is still a must try for any hop-head and is found in my mug most every time I stop in. All the beers are exceptional and there is usually something on tap to satisfy any pallet. Prices are reasonable and the frequent happy hours provide a break for the wallet. If wine is your thing they do have a couple of offerings available along with the standard non alcoholic fare. The food menu is limited but the Chicken Chili is amazing. You can also have food delivered from a number of local establishments right to your table inside or out. The place is only staffed by bar tenders so service is at the bar only but the always seem to keep things flowing. Please remember to bus you table to help out the hard work staff.

If you have been to Munich and experienced a beer garden, then you need to get to the Corner where you find a little Bavaria in Ypsilanti. Nothing beats the outdoor setting for relaxing and socializing with old friends as well as the new ones you are bound to make over one or more of the fine crafted brews. I hope to see you there!
