Big foamer, the beer itself is what I’d call a cloudy orange yellow. When the foam shrinks, there’s plenty of lacing. The nose has grassy hops, I said no pine elsewhere but I’m getting it now. Some sweet tropical fruitiness, malt is there as well adding some sweetish notes. Tropical fruit and pine dominate and so, it’ s not an overly bitter brew by any stretch of the imagination. To me, that is comforting. Balanced IPAs can be quite good. Medium bodied, lightish carbonation, nice mouth feel. This is very good. A bit expensive for a bottle; fancy assed bottle.

Hazy, deep orange beer with a three finger high, white head. A lot of lacing on the glass.

Nose: Orange, citrus, pine, grass, sweet candy and mandarin.

Taste: Not as much as the nose promised! Lemon, grass, orange and grapefruit. A little bitterness. Almost no carbonation.

Medium body. I would like a little more bitterness but overall really good!

Date: 8/20/14
Location: DeCicco's Armonk
Glassware: Snifter

Appearance: Amber in color with a pretty decent haze. As heady a beer as I have had in a while. White in color it clings almost limitlessly to the sides of the glass as it is imbibed.
Aroma: This beer is certainly on the sweeter side as flavors of caramel and even a slight honey come through. The hop presence is strong and slightly floral but frankly a little dull in aroma. A little alcohol can be found as well.
Taste: The taste is just as sweet as the aroma. More flavored caramel, the hop flavor is similar to the aroma and whatever bitterness that shows up in the finish is overpowered by the sweetness in the front.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is pretty smooth. Medium to medium high body. High carbonation. Some viscitude either from the alcohol or the hop acids.

Hazy golden colour with a big, foamy, off-white head. Very good head retention. Quite pretty.

Lightly citrussy with some real spice notes. Light honeyed malt aroma. Quite good.

Rich malt that supports a moderate hop flavour. Slightly citrussy with big cohumulone.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice.

A solid IPA but nothing amazing. Good flavour but there is really no X-factor.
