On-tap 12/5/2013 at Track 84, in Warwick, RI served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep reddish brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains caramelized malts, dark fruit, a touch of spice and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel, fruit and some spice. Then a hearty malt character comes in. The hops presence is mild but brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, strong kick, not too filling, decent representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Appearance- very deep red small one finger head, dissipates quickly
smell- smells of dry red wine, hints of sourness, not a huge aroma but pleasant
taste- very much a wine taste, like dry red mixed with a beautiful sparkling semi-dry Riesling, there are tart flavors and fruit flavors, no hint of alcohol, only slight hints that this is really a beer
mouthfeel- feels like a wine
overall- i like this beer, and think it is a great beverage, with amazing flavor, but i cant help but think that if your in the mood for this you might as well buy wine..
