330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.2%. Black colour, moderate beige head. The flavour has the expected notes of roast malts, mild coffee and chocolate, but also a distinct fruitiness. The flavour is smooth, roasty and fruity, with chocolate and mild coffee again, and hints of oysters and the tellina molluscs that have been added to the boil. A very enjoyable beer, might buy again.

Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has really nice chocolate with some light spices and brownie batter. Taste is slightly astringent, roasty, well balanced, a bit of baker's chocolate, light bitterness on the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall it's a really decent stout with a nice aroma.

Poured from bottle. Bottle says it's an oyster stout.
Dark black brown with a thin tan head, not much lacing. Smells of roast and chocolate, mild earthy aromas. Taste is nice, similar roast and chocolate but with a brineyness that gets more noticeable after a few sips. Not a strong oyster flavor but it comes through with the ocean brine taste and feel. Feel is a bit thin, but smooth.
Overall a nice beer, glad I could try it.

Supposed to be an oyster stout but I don't get much oyster from it at all. Definitely better examples of the style out there.

Poured from the oddly shaped bottle into a snifter glass, comes out dark brown with a small head that fades to a ring, some lacing at first. Smell is nice, big roasty malt note with hints of chocolate. Flavor starts malty and charred, middle has some coffee bean, finish is briny, hints of salt and calcium. Body tends to be a bit thin, overall a cool beer just needs more body.

11.1 oz. bottle poured into "stout glass"
L: black, thin and watery as your pour, looks clear and pushes up a thin, 1/5-inch tall head of tan foam that doesn't stick; keeps a collar of bigger, soapy bubbles; at times has a flat look, but even a jiggle of the glass causes the collar to percolate, so there's carbonation in there; up to light, dark ruby red around the edges ... very cool
S: chocolate ... very sweet; some oak wood and almost cedar ... boy is it sweet; coffee is astringent but not bitter or harsh; raisins
T: salty ... it's full of good standard stout notes, including coffee and some oak wood and a little charred wood or smoke, but it's also got a big earthy presence that isn't as much bitter as it is salty or briny; hard to say I taste oysters, but the bit seawater/saltwater is definitely there
F: seems light and watery at first, but somehow thickens over time ... I don't know how, but it's getting almost that slick-lumpy milk stout feel ... very different; despite the flat look, it's plenty crisp from the carbonation; halfway into the glass, it's settled into a medium weight, pretty thick and only lightly carbonated ... unique
O: a great beer but also not remarkably different from the average stout, which makes it overpriced in terms of an everyday drinker; at the same time, some of the slight differences are very interesting, especially the growing mouthfeel, which I swear I've not run across yet in 400-something different beers; the earthy quality from the oysters is cool, for it's pronounced enough to

Not bad, first ouster stout... But very similar to a thin stout. Glad I got to sample, probably wouldn't buy again, but wouldn't turn down if offered.
