Served in a Sloeber tulip glass.

She pours a light whitish-yellow, with a small dose of haze and a hefty dose of carbonation, all rising up toward a strong white head that dissipates fairly quickly. The aroma has a sweet undercurrent to it, with the carbonated air heavily asserting itself alongside crackles of citrus and spice. (All said and done, sniffing this beer is like sniffing a freshly poured glass of ginger ale.) The taste brings to mind memories of sparkling champaigne, with light grape tones bursting about, but then slips into a ginger ale profile, only with more sour notes. This guy dances light and thin on the tongue, with a heavy doses of carbonation constantly crackling about, pushing the drinkability down a notch.

one of the strangest beers in recent memory for me. this one taste more like a meal than a beer, but feels more like a glass of water, what a contrast. the pour is a hazy orange tinted brassy color with a modest white head. it smells like a bowl of minestrone soup. not campbells or anything, but straight up grandmas home made. super vegetable heavy, beany, and peculiar for a grape featured yeasty brew attempt. the flavor is more like minute noodles than quality minestrone, never had a beer like this at all. I can only get musty grape when I try my hardest to zero in on it, but the yeast is of the saison variety and quite interesting in the context of the odd foodlike flavors and aromas. excellent carbonation and a very very light body, this beer would be extremely easy drinking if it didn't taste so strange. the odd flavors are not unpleasant though, just perhaps out of place. an interesting experience to say the least. im not sure why this is listed as retired, because im still seeing it around, but a beer worthy of sourcing for the curious palate. if vegetable stock was unsalted, it would taste a lot like this brew.

Pours a dark golden orange color with tangerine edges and a two finger pillowy white foam head.  Good retention, only slowly fading into a thick, lasting ring. Soapy lacing left behind.

Earthy aroma with some musty barnyrad funk along with estery light fruits, peppery spice and a strong vinous grape presence.  Hints of bready yeast and peppery spice followed by light grapes, apple, pear and booze.

Medium bodied wih delicate carbonation and a nice balance of zesty spice, bready yeast, estery fruit notes and grape juice.  Slight funky with musty grape skin flavor along with peppey spice and bready yeast which adds fullness to the palate.  Some boozy sweetness with hits  of pear and vinous grapes.  Sweeter than open mind with more fruit than just grape/wine character.

Bottle at Beachwood,

A: Pours a cloudy yellow with a fizzy white head.

S: Very grapey/white wine. Notes of cherry, honey and pear.

T: Wheaty/bready at first, with some pear juice. The grape character reminds me a bit of Chenin Blanc, it's hard to place, but of the major grape varieties, this describes it best. Citrus is big on the finish, some tangerine comes to mind with a hint of ginger.

M: Fizzy, too carbonated on the pour, lightly acidic.

D: Aside from the mouthfeel problems this is good beer. I didn't really think I was drinking a lager, the intense grape flavours add a unique fruitiness which I really liked.
