This is a diner usually known, I think, to those who either frequent the Carytown area or at least live around it. It even has a door that you have to enter by pushing a big button outside. Yes, nothing too crazy, but is this supposed to be the future? Kind of looks like a hybrid of a diner from both the future and the past, with lots of stars, some funky old school booths, and plenty od diner food, including their specialty, which is the fried pickle.
The atmosphere can get a bit greasy at times, as the kitchen is pretty much right next to the bar area. On tap they have, currently, DFH Aprihop, Legend brown, and Legend lager. Yes, there is a PBR tap, and yes, you can get PBR all day every day for around $1.50 a pint.
And for you folks who like bottles, they currently have, from what I can remember, a Left Hand, some Rogue (Dead Guy), Victory (Hop Devil I think) and a few more craft and micros that I can't remember. The selection's not crazy, so don't camp out there for a night like it's a place with tons of brews to choose from, but it's nice that a diner, seemingly a place without many brews as such, would have a great selection. And I've also rarely seen Aprihop on tap, too.
So if you're wanting some greasy food and a good brew to wash it down in a very diner-oriented atmosphere, you should stop here. One of the better places bar-wise to get a brew in Carytown, though, I suppose, one of the only places if you want to get right down to it.
