(A) Pours a deep orange that is clean and clear. Careful to not get any of the massive amount of sediment that was at the bottom of the bottle. There was a lot. Produced a half inch white foamy head. Left lacing on the glass.
(S) A ton of grapefruit and white grapes. Hops were present but not nearly anything against the light fruits. Some pale malt seemed to make it through.
(T) A lot like the nose. There was a boatload of grapefruit mixed in with citric rind and light fruits. Hops get you at the end with a bit of caramel malt.
(M) Bit on the carbonated side. Had some bite to it. Slightly grainy and bitter.
(O) I wish this was a bit better balanced. I feel it was off center and had way too much white fruit aspects to it. The grapefruit flavor from the hops was a bit overwhelming.

A: Pours out a hazy orange. Can see little floaties. This one is unfiltered, it would appear. Darkish in color. Gives off a finger and a half off white head. Retention is moderate. Lacing is absolutely wonderful. Carbonation appears to be minimal, but it's hard to tell amongst the hazy and sediment.
S: Got the West Coast part down. Big pine, grapefruit and spicy tropical notes. Also a bit of spiced tangerine/orange. Malt comes through with some caramel and lightly nutty sweetness. Am getting a slightly catty/onion undertone from the Simcoe, as well.
T: Big hit of grain up front. Initial surge of lime and kumquat pith lead the hop charge. These transition mid palate into more standard IPA territory of pine, some herbaceousness and a touch of grapefruit. As it warms, the malt begins to open up, but never takes on any sweetness. Instead, it's a grassy, grainy style of malt. Bitterness asserts on the finish, bringing back bitter citrus peel, pine needles and a floral characteristic. Finishes extremely dry, bordering astringent.
M: Oh, so incredibly light for an IPA. Crisp on the palate, but with fairly subdued carbonation.
O: Very well executed, but somewhat lackluster. Lacks the complexity and depth of flavor of the top tier IPA's. Still, glad to have tried it.
