Thanks to orangesol for sharing this one.
A-Deep black/brown with a large tan head that slowly settles to a thin cap. Head retains nicely and leaves pleasant rings of lace.
S-Dark chocolate and French roast coffee initially with a touch of ash and roasted malt in the background. Overall aroma is pleasant but rather light.
T-Compared to the nose the flavour profile pops nicely. A wave of dark chocolate and coffee comes in first quickly followed by an astringent smack of roasted malt and ash. Subtle notes of vanilla, treacle and blackstrap molasses in the finish.
M-Medium body and solid with good lingering flavours.
D-A fully enjoyable and flavourful brew. A very easy strong stout to sip and enjoy sitting by the fire on a cold winter night.
