On tap at KRBC in June 2011.
A - Murky, reddish brown color. Not the best looking glass of sour beer that I've seen.
S - Mild aroma of sour cherries, but mostly funk and farmhouse smells (grass, hay, etc)
T- Started sour with some lactic cherry notes, but finished really dry and with a not so pleasant grass/wheat taste. I'm not sure what happened here, but the finish really killed it for me.
M - Light-Medium body, little carbonation.
O - Did not enjoy this beer. Had the Class X barrel aged stout before this beer and I could barely finish the sour. These guys can really brew up some great IPAs, so I hope they work on their sours to get them to their IPA level.

On-tap at Kern River Brewing Company
A: Not a particularly good looking beer. Murky amber/orange in color with almost no head on it.
S: A mild vinegar sourness to it without much, if any, lactic character. Definitely some cherry character but not super fruity. A light funk of straw, wet grass, and musty oak. A mild malt sweetness.
T: Only a moderate sourness, which is primarily acetic. Some sweet fruit and bready malts with the same sort of mild funkiness that was present on the nose. Wet oak, grass, and straw with a bit of must.
M: Medium in body with a somewhat low carbonation to the beer.
O: not a bad attempt at a sour, but my one glass was enough for me.
