Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass at around 45 degrees Fahrenheit
Appearance: Hazy golden orange color with a finger off white head
Smell: Slight pine and citrus
Taste: Grassy, pine, and bitter grapefruit
Mouthfeel: Light body, but extremely bitter with no sweetness or anything to balance it out.
Overall: As with Finest Kind and even more so here, its all bitter with no real hop presence to back it up. Put some citrus/tropical hop varieties into your hoppy beers Smuttynose! I will be sticking to their darker offerings from now on.

22oz brown bomber with no freshness date.
Full on sticky frothing, mildly dull golden hue. Citrus pith and wild flowers with some biscuity malt make for a very aromatic nose. Snappy crispness in a fluffy body. Assertive hoppiness start to finish, bitterness is pretty sharp but lets the malt make camp. Underlying breadiness. Lots of citrus rind with a yeasty earthiness.
Super hoppy session beer, fun to knock back if you are into intensely hoppy beers.

Had a pint at Cannibal in Kips Bay. Love me a lower ABV pale. I'd believe you if you said it's a session IPA, but it's not quite burying with hops like Stone Go To or Founders All-Day, however. The aroma is a bit subdued, it's lacking a big pop of hops, but does have a pleasant mix of bready malt and citrus. The flavor picks up the hops with a cutting grapefruit bitterness and light grassy and pine notes. It's a simpler profile, but clean and tasty. The body is also on the lighter side for the style, in the neighborhood of a great session beer.
